Kashmir Restaurant in Manila introduced the culinary adventures of Indian cooking over 40 years ago and remains a popular destination and iconic restaurant.
The original founders of Kashmir, three sisters, Sita Advani, Indra Mirchandani and Kamla Singh, acted on their vision to create a dining
destination for Filipinos and global visitors to experience the delicious flavors and culture of India with outstanding customer service.
The journey started in the 1970s when the sisters started a small pension (guesthouse) in Poblacion, Makati. Their Indian home-cooked meals were such a hit that the trio courageously made the decision to go into the restaurant business full time.
They opened their first restaurant on Makati Avenue in Makati City and there was no turning back. Today, Kashmir Restaurant, an established landmark and now owned and managed by Indra Mirchandani and Kamla Singh, have their main branch in the heart of Makati on the famous Pasay Road (Arnaiz Ave.), the popular Kashmir Deli in San Antonio Plaza, Forbes Park and the brand new and trendy, Kashmir Street Food in Poblacion.
Coming full circle 40 years later, the mantra that resonated through the decades was “utmost quality and service”. With fresh and authentic ingredients, loyal employees spanning three generations, and a whole lot of love and joy infused into authentic dishes that embody traditional home cooking, Kashmir remains Manila’s foremost brand in authentic Indian cuisine.
